SCDA & Pitlochry Festival Theatre
remember Ros Lane
On Saturday 29th April 2006 there was a special Reception at Pitlochry Festival Theatre to dedicate a bench in memory of Scottish Community Drama Association (SCDA) advisor Ros Lane.
Ros, who died last May, was acclaimed as an actress, a director, a tutor and an adjudicator. During her career, she worked with Stephen Joseph and Alan Ayckbourn, performed in Pitlochry's 1962 season, and played in what would be the Edinburgh Traverse's opening productions.
On Saturday, following a welcome by the Chairman of the Community Council, Nikki Axford, Chief Executive of Pitlochry Festival Theatre, spoke about the gardens and Ros's time at the theatre.
In the theatre gardens, Colin Peter, Chairman of SCDA, talked about Ros and her work with SCDA. Benita Wylie then revealed the bench.
