Your membership is invaluable to SCDA
On 18th June The Howden Park Centre in Livingston was the venue for the
Scottish Youth Final, what an exciting evening with four enthusiatic teams
from the four corners of Scotland entertaining us with four amazing productions.
This
was amateur drama at its best and all enabled by SCDA. On the 5th, 6th
and 7th of May Eden Court Theatre in Inverness was the venue for the
Scottish Final of one-act plays, wonderful drama and lots of friends
old and new with the same interest and supporting our organisation.
We’ve been around for 85 years, so we must be doing something
right, why not join us and become a part of our community either to
participate or even just to support us.
What do we do when we are not participating in or supporting festivals? We are here to support and foster creativity in performance and writing, to support members and clubs in artistic, personal and social development.
We
help to develop links and partnerships throughout the theatrical world
and the voluntary sector and we act as an advocate for community and
amateur theatre. We cannot do this without you, so join us today either
as an individual or why not get a few people together and start a club
in your community, get involved doing something you enjoy, learning
new skills, making new friends and enjoy the benefits of becoming a
member.
